Foundation Skills Courses
National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Levels 1-2
- These Foundation Skills courses can be both part-time and full-time courses that are generally delivered with the purpose of upskilling individuals and include areas such as Adult literacy and numeracy skills.
- Courses are suited to Early School Leavers.
- There are no entry requirements.
Bridging Skills Courses
National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Levels 3-4
- These Bridging Skills courses can be both part-time and full-time courses and include areas such as; Back to Education, Progression Courses, Courses for Early School Leavers and Entry Level Employment Focussed Courses.
- Entry Requirements include National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 3 / Junior Certificate / Relevant life experience.
Courses for Employment and Progression to Higher Education
National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Levels 5-6
- Courses for Employment and Progression to Higher Education can be both part-time and full-time courses and include areas such as Specific Skills Courses, Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Post Leaving Certificate Courses (PLC) and Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS).
- Entry Requirements – National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 4 / Junior Certificate (some apprenticeships) / Leaving Certificate / Relevant life experience.
