Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board has statutory authority for the delivery of education and training within the Cavan and Monaghan region. Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board fully supports the government’s policy on assisting Ireland’s recovering economy as we collaborate with all stakeholders, particularly learners, employers and public authorities in developing emerging talent in the region to service emerging education, training and employment requirements and trends.  

Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board deliver a broad range of education and training programmes with Cavan Institute and Monaghan Institute, recognized as renowned leaders in education and training provision within the Cavan and Monaghan region, providing a comprehensive and responsive Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) education service for their communities. The provision of both Institutes is complemented by an extensive delivery of blended learning and evening education and training programmes.  

Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board has an active and dynamic Adult Education Programme that promotes an integrated education service with each strand of that service contributing to a much-needed educational resource within the Cavan and Monaghan region. Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board uniquely adapts our range of programmes to incorporate all aspects of Adult Learning within a unified whole to merge and integrate our range of services between Community Education, Back to Education Initiative, Literacy, Guidance, Upskilling and Training.  

Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board has an extensive Training Programme and actively engages with employers within the region to offer CPD training for employees in new technologies and cross skilling to enhance production performance and employee knowledge and progression.
