The EU General Data Protection Regulations or ‘the GDPR’ comes into effect on 25th of May 2018 and it replaces the existing Data Protection Laws in the European Union. The reason for the change is to give people more rights, control and understanding of how their personal data is being used.
The GDPR will have no impact on the services we provide to you.
It does however require Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board to keep you informed of the following:
- The types of data we hold about you;
- The purpose it is used for; and
- Your rights in relation to how it is processed.
