CMETB set to showcase Learning Opportunities in Cavan and Monaghan during AONTAS Adult Learners Festival
The highly anticipated AONTAS Adult Learners Festival is set to make a triumphant return from March 4th to the 8th, bringing a wave of excitement to promote Adult Learning nationwide. This annual festival, dedicated to celebrating adult and community education, and make learning accessible to everyone, will feature a myriad of events taking place across the country.
Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) is thrilled to be a part of this celebration, offering an array of FREE taster classes throughout counties Cavan and Monaghan. These sessions provide an excellent opportunity for individuals to explore new interests and engage in the spirit of lifelong learning.
During the week CMETB Adult Education Service will deliver a number of free sessions including Gardening, Historical Walks, Smartphone workshops, Interior Design, Photography, Skincare and much more. There will also be an opportunity to meet with the CMETB Guidance and Information team who can offer support to adults who are considering a return to education or training.
During the festival CMETB will also launch a new Podcast, ‘The Journey’ on Friday 08 March which aims to inspire and support individuals on their path to further education and training (FET). The podcast delves into the personal stories of learners, shedding light on their triumphs, challenges, and the barriers they overcame to achieve success.
