Cavan Institute submit an extensive application to become a Microsoft Showcase School

In August 2021, Cavan Institute applied for and was accepted to the MS Incubator Schools programme. As part of the application process for the programme, a self-evaluation against a number of metrics was undertaken. Having completed this evaluation, key targets for improvement were identified. In September 2021, Cavan Institute’s Management Team established a Microsoft Showcase School Working group made up of members of the senior management, technology enhanced learning, teaching and learning, strategic planning and ICT teams across the college. The objective of this working group was to plan for and implement key transformational practices which would ensure Cavan Institute was ranked as Advanced or Leading in all metric areas as set out by Microsoft.

The application to become a Microsoft Showcase School was subsequently submitted in June 2022.

Due to the success of TEL support structure that were put in place, Cavan Institute is very proud to say that all of our teaching staff have achieved their Microsoft Innovative Educator badges. Well done to all involved!
