CMETB Schools shine bright with 13 Qualifications for the BT Young Scientist Exhibition
Excitement is in the air as schools from Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) proudly announce an outstanding achievement with a total of 13 qualified projects for the prestigious BT Young Scientist Exhibition 2024, to be held at the RDS in Dublin in January.
CMETB has secured the second-highest rate of qualified projects among thirteen ETB networks of schools in Ireland, showcasing the exceptional talent and dedication within the local educational community across the two counties of Cavan and Monaghan.
The BT Young Scientist Exhibition is a platform that celebrates innovation, curiosity, and scientific exploration among young minds. The remarkable accomplishment of CMETB schools reflects the commitment to fostering a culture of scientific inquiry and academic excellence.
Students and teachers from Breifne College, Cavan, Ballybay Community College, St. Bricin’s College, Belturbet, Virginia College, Largy College, Clones and Coláiste Dún an Rí will join hundreds of other budding scientists at the RDS in Dublin, where they will showcase their projects and vie for top honours. The diversity and quality of the projects from CMETB schools underscore the depth of talent within the local student body.
