CMETB publish its Gender Pay Gap Report for 2022

Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board today has published its Gender Pay Gap Report for 2022. The Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021 requires organisations to report on their hourly gender pay gap across a range of metrics.

The gender pay gap is the difference in the average hourly wage of men and women across CMETB.

Key findings in this report show that the mean gender pay gap in CMETB indicates that, on average, men are paid 6.54% higher than women. The median gender pay gap indicates that, on average, men are paid 5.69% higher than women.

Like all public sector organisations, CMETB has equal pay for men and women in the same grades. As such, the gender pay gap arises as a result of the differences in the higher number of men occupying senior roles over the course of the reporting period.

Commenting on the first CMETB Gender Pay Gap Report 2022, the Chief Executive Dr Fiona McGrath stated:

“The Gender Pay Gap Report is part of our commitment to public service, providing equality of opportunity and access to education and employment. Many equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives and supports are already in place including a range of flexible working options and family-friendly schemes and we will continue to work towards improving equality, diversity and inclusion in our organisation.”
